Description

Come on a journey that begins in the 1940s and continues to the present day. Dada Vedaprajinananda was one of millions of baby boomers born in the US in 1946. Growing up in New York during the Cold War years, he witnessed the rise of TV, rock n roll, and the consumer culture. After graduating from college during the turbulent 1960s, Dada embraced the hippie counterculture, rubbing shoulders with famous activists and musicians. A meeting with an Indian monk in California led to his initiation into the Ananda Marga spiritual path and to his vocation as a missionary monk teaching yoga and meditation in Europe, the Far East, the Middle East, and eventually back again in the USA. Along the way Dada edited newspapers and magazines, started schools and social service projects, became a singer-songwriter, and met with a guru who transformed him completely.
