In the last two weeks I have been to New Paltz (upstate NY), Ithaca, Asheville, NC, Greensboro, NC, and Atlanta, GA. I am now back in New York City and getting ready for another adventure, but before I tell you about that. Here are some highlights from the last two weeks.

On October 13 I went to the State University of New York (SUNY) in New Paltz and gave a meditation workshop that was attended by 25 students. We all had a good time and did two short sessions of meditation as well as hold a discussion on the benefits of meditation.
I traveled by bus to my next stop, Ithaca, New York and had a good look at the changing autumn leaves of central New York on my way there. In Ithaca I met with psychologist, meditation researcher and friend, Dr. Robert Maxwell and we traveled by car to Asheville, NC for a retreat at the beautiful Prama Institute.
During the course of the retreat I gave a workshop on Kundalinii Yoga, the science of raising the spiritual energy through the process of spiritual meditation and yoga. In all of the workshops that I conducted during this tour, I managed to weave in a few songs as well.
After the retreat at the Prama Institute, I went to Greensboro, NC where I was hosted by Jagatbandhu (John Gross). I gave a talk to the ongoing meditation and philosophy course that John is conducting at the Unity Church in Greensboro and also did a complete concert at the Unity Church later in the week.
Here is a photo of Jagatbandhu at the controls of his trusty computer:
From North Carolinia I headed to Atlanta for the last stop on this two week tour. In Atlanta I was the guest of John Elliot. Our first stop was to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial and Museum in downtown Atlanta.
If you go to Atlanta this is a site that you should definitely visit. The Museum has a complete exhibition that shows the history of the civil rights movement in America and of Martin Luther King, Jr’s place in that movement. We also visited the home where he grew up in.
Here is a photo of John and me near the tomb of Martin Luther King, Jr. and his wife Coretta Scott King.
Later that same day we went to the home of John’s friend, Goran. About 15 people joined us for a pot-luck dinner, meditation workshop and house concert.
And here is a photo of John, Dada and Goran:
That was the tour. It was a lot of fun, and if you would like to join the fun then send me an email and invite me to your place!
Continued good tidings on your journey and great enjoyment in Costa Rica next week! It was wonderful to meet you and hear more of your thoughts, teachings and music. Peace and Love, John
