I just released a new single “We Don’t Need No Billionaires.” This is a digital-only song release and is available for streaming and download online at Bandcamp.com The song was born as an idea during the summer of 2019 when some of the presidential candidates were asked “should billionaires exist?” I wasn’t a presidential candidate so no one asked me! But I have an opinion on the question and expressed it in this song which I finally finished after starting work on it last June. Check it out and let me know what you think about it.

I don’t update this blog section often enough (finding it easier just to update my Facebook accounts) but in the last post I mentioned that I was going on a music tour as part of a Mission from God, to help a nun in India raise money for her hospital. I went on that tour which took me throughout the Midwest. Most recently I went on a tour to the East Coast and back and gave ten concerts in Ohio, West Virginia, Connecticut, Washington, DC, Virginia and Illinois. The shows were held in all kinds of venues: bars, restaurants, cafes, a music store, a private home and even a radio station. If you want to hear what my live music sounds like these days there is a complete YouTube video from my performance on Champaign’s WEFT 90.1 FM which I hope you will watch.
Before I tell you what the mission from God is all about, I have to apologize for not updating this blog section very often. I tend to post my latest doings on Facebook, usually at my personal profile Dada Vedaprajinananda (you can befriend me or follow me to keep up with everything) and sometimes on my music page www.facebook.com/dadavedamusic
Now, the Mission from God stuff.. A year ago I was in India and one of the Ananda Marga nuns was describing her program to build a hospital in Kolkata that will offer medical treatment to the “poorest of the poorest.” The nun is an old friend, Didi Ananda Prajina. She has been working on this project since the early 1990s and was able to purchase choice land and start construction of the hospital. It has been a long struggle but she has now been able to open an outpatient clinic on the first floor of the building which is still in construction. Continue reading
We started work on it last April in Colorado and finished the new CD last week, and now here it is! Remember the Sun Will Shine is a collection of yoga-infused folk music, with a new children’s sons, a cover of “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” and two songs dealing with pressing social issues.
You can listen now, download the album or individual tracks at BandCamp
The album was made possible by Tom Tamburello, who first started off with the production in Denver, and by Cayden Wood who took up the production, added guitar, bass, percussion, mixing and mastering in our RAWA Studio in Urbana, IL.
On February 25th I went to Valparaiso University in Indiana and spoke before 50 students and explained how yoga can help someone reach their full potential. You can listen to it right here:
