Concerts, Yoga and Meditation for the Seniors

Technically I am a senior now, but what I mean in the title of this post is that I have been giving music concerts to the residents at the Champaign County Nursing Home for the past two years. I recently gave a performance there and it was well received. Here is the set-list from that event:

1. This Land is Your Land
2. You Are My Sunshine
3. She’ll be Coming Around the Mountain
4. Down by the Riverside
5. I’ll Fly Away
6. Over the Rainbow
7. This Little Light
8. Blowin’ in the Wind
9. Moonshadow
10. Never Alone or Helpless
11. Love is the Best
12. Will the Circle be Unbroken
13. From Zero to Hero
14. Baba Nam Kevalam (Love is all there is)

On March 19th I will be giving a program at the Clark-Lindsey Retirement Village in Urbana  and in addition to some music I will also introduce some yoga and meditation techniques to the residents of that facility.

At the Wellness Fair

Our community participated in a Health and Wellness Fair held at the Marketplace Mall in Champaign this past weekend (January 26).  We displayed our books and CDs and spoke to people about yoga and meditation. I recently held an introduction to meditation workshop and started a new series of Blissed-Out Yoga Classes.  Here is a photo from the Health and Wellness Fair.

We Are Rolling Out the New Website

I am really excited about this new format for the website. What I have tried to do is to present the various aspects of my work on one site.  The previous version of the site was something like a “musician’s website” and didn’t really fit all of my activities. I hope that this new version will give a more rounded picture of what I am doing.

Also, I have gone to some effort to collect a lot of the articles that I have written over the years and put them in one place. I hope that you will enjoy reading some of them.

As I write this the new version of the site is not yet “live” but I hope to get it into full view in the coming days.
